The silage technique makes it possible to maintain forage nutritional properties for a certain time period and to protect it from atmospheric agents. The film must, therefore, have high opacity to avoid light passage, high resistance to atmospheric agents and to aging process and have excellent reflecting power to control the temperatures of the ensiled forage.

Technical Characteristics

  • Excellent reflecting power (milk-white and white-black): avoids overheating of the ensiled product, therefore promotes lactic fermentation, which is fundamental for the forage conservation
  • High mechanical resistance: the three layers of the film are bonded together through the extrusion process: this ensures a higher resistance to tearing, puncturing and impact
  • Anti-aging properties: UV stabilization slows film aging and keeps mechanical and Optical properties
The Silostar film complies with the technical specifications established by the UNI EN 13207 standard, relating to films called: “Normal films”.
